Having a hobby is a great way to spend some time doing what you enjoy. There are been studies that have shown that people with hobbies tend to live longer than people that don’t. If you don’t already have a hobby finding one will make your free time more fun and possibly lengthen your life. Here are just a few hobbies that you might want to consider:

Coin Collecting – If you have a rare 1921 Morgan dollar sitting in your closet then you might want to start collecting coins. You can start small with pennies and move up from there. Head to your local coin shop to get a starter kit and ask them for the advice on what you should be collecting. The staff at the coin store will soon become some of your best friends so get to know them.

Cards – There are plenty of stores that have football cards for sale or baseball cards. If you are interested in sports and love baseball cards collecting them are a great hobby. You can start with some less expensive cards and move up as your collection grows. There are many cards that are very expensive and if you can afford them they often make good investments.
